Cactus Corals (Pavona sp.) are also known as Lettuce Coral, Potato Chip Coral, or Leaf Coral. It's a fast growing SPS Coral and can quickly form a large colony from a single frag.
Attractive and unusual growth patterns make the Lettuce Coral will make an excellent addition to most reef tanks. As well, Lettuce Coral is considered one of the easiest SPS corals to care for and has green fluorescent highlights that glow brightly under actinic lighting. Lettuce coral can be found in purple, brown, and different shades of green.
Lettuce Corals form thin plates as branches that are covered with polyps giving it a fuzzy appearance. It likes good flow, intense lighting, and will add diversity of texture to your reef with its unique growth structure. Be careful of it's powerful sweeper tentacles when placing it.
