Orange anthias are a colorful active reef safe fish and a good addition to the home aquarium. Females are yellow to orange and males will be pink to red with a square pattern in the center body.
They can be kept in a group of females and one male. The males will fight if there is more than one male in an aquarium. If all females are purchased, it is not unheard of that one female will change and become a male. They do best if fed more than once a day and are not aggressive to other aquarium inhabitants.
Note: Anthias fish are somewhat difficult to keep healthy in captivity and so they should not be kept by inexperienced saltwater aquarists.
